Gülden Köktürk, PhD.

Dr. Gülden Köktürk is a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Engineering. Her research focuses on signal and image processing, biomedical signal processing, wavelet theory, biomimicry, biodesign, and sustainable energy systems. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in signal and image processing and biomedical engineering.
Dr. Köktürk is a founding member of the Turkish Biodesign Team (TBT), where she has actively contributed to interdisciplinary research, educational activities, workshops, and innovation projects in the field of biodesign. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on biodesign and related interdisciplinary topics.
Her research spans a wide range of interdisciplinary fields, including biomedical engineering, photobioreactors, renewable energy systems, and biomimetic design. She has supervised various undergraduate and graduate research projects and continues to promote innovative, sustainable, and human-centered engineering approaches through her research and teaching.
Research Interests: Signal and Image Processing, Biomedical Signal Processing, Wavelet Theory, Biomimicry, Biodesign, Sustainable Energy Systems, Photobioreactors, and Renewable Energy Technologies.
